Director: Coproducers: Cinétévé, ARTE France, Musée d'Orsay / Partners: TV5 Monde, CNC, Editions Montparnasse

Synopsis

Impressionism, like no other fine arts movement, has celebrated fashion. More than simply depicting the clothing style of their contemporaries, Impressionist painters use it as a pure aesthetic object. In this documentary, curators, historians, and even fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld tell us about the legacy of this movement, which promoted a resolute modernism.
